Swedish Massage Swedish
massage is the standard of all massage taught in Texas. It’s that ‘feel good’ style of long even
strokes called effleurage and gentle kneading called petrissage. Swedish is normally done directly on the
skin with oils, lotions or creams.
These can be unscented or scented, where aromatherapy is brought into
the therapeutic space. One
hour or hour and a half sessions are the norm. The therapist will work from head to
toe. Focus will be placed on the areas
noted as problems by the client in the intake information. Massage
serves many purposes. It can help to
work out soreness from over exertion or repetitive use injuries. It stimulates the auto-immune system by
helping to release endorphins. Massage
when done on a regular basis aids in relieving the symptoms of stress and
improving the body’s ability to ward off disease. Testimonial “I
have lived in several states from the east coast to the west coast. I have enjoyed massages since the late
1980’s. However, during my four year
stop over in Houston, TX, I found the most intuitive healer from whom I have
ever had the privilege of receiving massages.
I also found her gifts of intuitive healing to be life giving as I
received cranio-sacral and lymphatic drainage therapy. I miss her touches as I now reside in
California. Her love for her work she
does has certainly made an imprint on my heart and an impact on my health. “
