Chair (Seated) Massage
Chair massage arrived on the scene in the late eighties. With the popularity of computers more and more people became aware of the need of working out the kinks in their shoulders and necks.
Chair massage is done fully clothed and often in a public venue. No oils or lotions are used. Special chairs have been created for the comfort of both client and practitioner. These chairs allow a client to sit in a slightly forward, inclined position. This then gives the practitioner easy access to head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. Different techniques from Swedish Massage have been developed to relax the client’s tired muscles without the use of oils.
For many people regular Chair Massage is their only opportunity for massage. Since these massages are 30 minutes or less in length they often fit more readily into the hectic schedules of many.
Listed below are various venues where I have performed Chair Massage:
“She's great! I am a weekly devotee. Neck and shoulder tightness is much improved. Has my best recommendation.” Wilson Griffith
